Mihir Shah: Hi everyone, my name is Mihir Shah and I am the president of NSCSAS. I am originally from Scottsdale, AZ. I am now a senior at the UofA and am majoring in Neuroscience and Cognitive Sciences with an emphasis in Neurobiology and on the pre-medicine track. I also have minors in Emergency Medical Services along with Biochemistry. I have been with NSCSAS since my freshman year and the biggest appeal of this club is its community. I have met my best friends here and made so many connections and networks that has allowed me to succeed in my undergraduate career. One fun fact about myself is that my family origins come from India, but I personally have never been. :(
Victor Sandrin: I am a senior in NSCS emphasis on cognition with major in biosystems analytics and minor philosophy. I love this major because it has great people and has to do with the complexities of the things we take for granted every day. I like playing basketball and video games and reading blogs. Fun fact, my middle toe can move independently of the other ones.
Suhani Patel: Hello! I'm Suhani and I am from Peoria, AZ. I am a senior majoring in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science and minoring in Game Design and Biochemistry. NSCSAS has been one of the most memorable experiences of my college career! So many of the members are some of my closest friends and we create so many opportunities for students to become immersed in the science while making some friends along the way. We're a super social and easygoing club and that's why I love it here :) I love listening to lifestyle podcasts.
Daveena Biswas: Hey everyone!! I’m from Tucson, Arizona, and am a senior majoring in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with an emphasis in neurobio. I am minoring in Spanish, Biochem, and Health and Human Values. I have really enjoyed my time in NSCSAS, starting as a member, then an intern, and finally on board. I have met some of my best friends through NSCSAS and found a sense of community. Some of my favorite memories throughout my time in NSCSAS have been getting to hike Tumamoc with others, meet super cool professors outside of a classroom setting, and also engage in Neuroscience in the broader community. I am really excited to continue helping to create a close-knit and welcoming community within the major! Fun fact, my biggest fear is birds
Henry Walker: I’m Henry, I’m a sophomore from Tempe and my majors are Medicine and French. I chose NSCSAS since I hope to go into Neurosurgery and am continuing to be a part of the club due to the amazing community. I used to play viola.
Victor Sandrin: Greetings! I am a junior with a double major in NSCS and Biosystems Analytics. My hometown is Glendale, AZ. My favorite thing about NSCSAS is the welcoming community and the opportunity for involvement in event planning for everyone in the club. I am into basketball, bass guitar, and any creative/active hobbies I can try! I will eat at any restaurant or food truck on 4th Avenue, I think it’s the best dining in the nation. I plan to apply to grad school for a master’s in counseling or a biotech-related degree,or search for a biotech industry job!
Jyothisree Mandadapu: I'm Jyothisree Mandadapu, a third year student double majoring in Neuroscience & Cognitive Science and Psychological Science. I'm from Phoenix, Arizona. I joined NSCSAS unsure about my major and realized I loved studying neuroscience and the community here was a big part of it. All the professors, advisors and students have been very supportive. I've made so many amazing friends in this club. I've loved getting to know the city of Tucson and the general campus community through outreach and social events from the club. Fun fact, I love to read and I've read 57 books this year!
